Remembering

Max McKenzie
Dear Friends,
Max’s funeral will be held this Friday, 3rd September 2021, at 11:30am at the Convent Gallery Daylesford. The service will be followed by a private burial at Daylesford Cemetery.
The funeral service will be live streamed by Belinda Jane Video and streaming will commence 15 minutes before the scheduled start. The link is https://www.belindajanevideo.com/client-video/max-mckenzie/. Please forward this to all those who would like to attend to farewell Max and support those affected by his passing. We know that this has touched people from many different circles of our community and everyone is welcome. The link will also be posted on the Willow Tree Foundation website.
Going to a funeral online is not how our world should be. Even though we cannot be together in person on Friday, please gather people around you physically, virtually or however you can. Max loved people and that would make him happy. During proceedings we will light candles in his memory and we will invite you to do this if you have a candle nearby.
Max loved music, and was always updating his Spotify playlists. After the funeral on Friday, this music may give you some comfort. His latest playlist is on his account Childspud. The link is Swwwepy

In lieu of flowers, we would like to raise funds to create a memorial for Max which reflects his absolute love of both kayaking and people. With the support of Max’s local kayaking club, we hope this will help young people to be fit, and connected with each other and their environment. The link is https://gofund.me/aee5bc9e.
Max would want more than just 10 people together to remember him. We plan on arranging a bigger celebration of Max’s life when COVID allows and we are all vaccinated.
Finally, if you ever pass by the Yarra river, particularly anywhere upstream or downstream from Fairfield, spare a thought for our beautiful boy.
Love Ben, Tam, Ella and Lucy
